Women Empowering Themselves: A Financial Survival Guide
by Antoinette Babek and Hollis Colquhoun
If you are in
financial trouble or just beginning your acquaintance with financial responsibility,
this book is a great place to start. This book is part workbook, real-world
application, and guide to wrestle your finances into proper shape.
Get ready to be
educated and quick. The tables and graphs make it easy to break down where your
money goes and easily points out where you as a stay-at-home mom have income
value. It’s vital to know where your money is coming from and where it’s going.
It’s best summed up by what my grandfather used to say, “Them that understands
interest collects it them that don’t pays it.”
Although this book
is clearly geared toward women going through divorce, it is an excellent tool
to teach anyone how to become financially wise. There is nothing superfluous in
this volume, including the money smart food recipes in the appendix. All the
information is clear, concise and instantly usable. I know a few people that
could really benefit from this work, including myself.
